Interview for a financial advisor position?-A Financial Advisor is a sales position where you'll have to build your client base up. That means you will get most of your clients through people you know and referrals. Some of the more difficult methods include cold calling, public speaking, and hosting events to bring in new clients. From what the interviewers told me, the pay is very good, but to me, the job seemed pretty difficult because you'd constantly be having to cold call and introduce yourself to new people. The company will probably be testing you to see if you are very outgoing and can make a good salesperson.
Some of the questions I was asked included:
- Explain a time you did something you didn't want to do.
- What makes you a good fit for this job?
- What would make you a good leader?
- How do you solve a problem?
- Tell me about a time you used persuasion.
- Tell me about a time your integrity was compromised.
Good luck getting the job.
