Is it difficult starting as a financial adviser?-Most peoples start in this area selling products--insurance, stocks, mutual funds. The exceptions are those with other financial experience, such as CPAs or estate-planning lawyers.
For the most part, you start with a big company. It's a lot of work and a lot of time and a lot of pushing. You don't need a lot of advanced education to start, although the more you know the better position you're in.
Eventually, you can get more into advice, and work in a firm that's a registered investment adviser--and spent more time advising than selling.

Is it difficult starting as a financial adviser?-Very easy to get licensed if you are willing to study. Surviving the next two years is a little more difficult while you build your reputation and customer base. Be prepared to network and spend long hours for the first 24 months. Make sure that everyone you meet knows who you are and what you do, but don't try to sell everyone...let them come to you, or move in slow while developing the initial relationship. Invent your '3 second billboard' ... instead of saying 'I am a financial advisor' try 'I help people retire young and rich' or I am a retirement expert. People always want to deal with an expert over a generic salesman...and at the end of the day, we ARE salesmen.
Is it difficult starting as a financial adviser?-Its not difficult to start, you just have to make sure you are prepared for what you're getting into. You will probably work 60-70 hours per week for the 1st two years. You can make a great deal of money at this career. However, you will hustle, you will hustle...you will have to depend a great deal on those relationships in your life, and try getting yourself involved in the local Chamber of Commerce to build your business.
